Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions

We try to ensure that all concerts are given with the advertised programme, but we may sometimes have to make changes of programme or artists for reasons outside our control, and we ask for your understanding if this is necessary.

Every musical group will adjust spacing and configuration to their own needs. We will endeavour to enhance sight lines by adjusting the layouts slightly for each concert. We reserve the right to change seating layouts if absolutely necessary, but will do our best to ensure you are satisfied with the changed location.

Conditions of Ticket Sales and Admission

Due to the personalised nature of our Front of House system, there is no need to print out and bring your ticket along to the concert. On arrival, please give the surname of the person who made the booking, and you will be registered.

If you have not purchased a ticket in advance online, there will usually be some tickets available at the door.  We will now be registering all on-the-door patrons in order to allocate a vacant seat, so you should allow extra time for this.  The only extra information required is your email address.  Tickets can then be purchased using contactless cards, cash or cheques.

We aim to start every concert promptly at 8:00pm, as soon as the church bells have rung.  Doors will open at 7:30pm.  Please do not arrive early as you will not be admitted.

Wallingford Chamber Music reserves the right to reseat patrons to alternative seats without prior notice and without being liable to pay any person any compensation or damage.  This will only be done in exceptional circumstances, such as for safety reasons, or at the request of the artist.

Sometimes our patrons who have already purchased tickets, such as season ticket holders, wish to move seats to sit with family and friends, and we are very happy to accommodate this where we are able to.  Please contact us via the contact form on the website to facilitate this.

We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded except as detailed in the Ticket Cancellations, Exchanges and Refunds section below. Any insurance which may be offered by third parties has nothing to do with Wallingford Chamber Music and is taken at your own risk.

Generally, every effort will be made to admit latecomers to a performance at a suitable break, but you may not be able to take your reserved seat until the conclusion of the piece being performed.

The unauthorised use of photographic and/or recording equipment during a performance is prohibited. Any unauthorised photos, videos and/or recordings may be destroyed.

We reserve the right to conduct security searches of our patrons for safety and security reasons.

Whilst using the premises, you must comply with instructions issued by staff and ushers at an event. Failure to do so may result in a breach of our terms and conditions.

A breach of any of our terms and conditions or unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury may result in you being ejected from the premises and prevented from booking future events.

Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to, behaviour likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors, the use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards other visitors or staff working at the event.

Ticket Cancellations, Exchanges & Refunds

All ticket purchases are final and cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase, except in the event of a cancelled, abandoned, rescheduled or relocated performance, or where there is a material change to the event.  A material change is a change which, in Wallingford Chamber Music's reasonable opinion, would make the event materially different to the event that the purchasers of the ticket could reasonably expect and would include a change to the advertised performer.

Refunds shall only be made to the person who validly purchased the tickets and, where possible, by the same method used to purchase the tickets. When it is not possible to refund via the same payment method, Wallingford Chamber Music reserves the right to request additional identification or documentation to ensure the money is returned to the correct person.

In the case of a cancelled event, customers will be refunded the face value of the tickets.

In the case of a postponed/rescheduled event, customers will be offered alternative tickets of the same value for the new date/time, subject to availability. Should the customer not wish to accept these tickets then a refund can be obtained for the face value of the tickets.

Any refund in the above circumstances must be claimed as soon as possible and in any event, no later than 28 days after the cancellation, reschedule or material change of an event.
