Our Anniversary Season prompted us to explore some genres other than our usual fare, such as this jazz matinée performance featuring Fleur Stevenson, a local musician who is also a familiar face on the London jazz scene including acclaimed performances at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. Fleur’s latest album All we know featured as one of Jazz Fuel's Best 30 Jazz Releases of 2022.

Joining Fleur is an all-star lineup of musicians: on saxophone, an exciting, playful and inventive musician and beloved character of the British jazz scene for over 50 years, Art Themen; on piano, a jewel of British jazz, Gareth Williams, who is known as one of the most intensely creative, dynamic and exciting performers in the UK. Both are winners of the British Jazz Awards. A hugely sought-after and highly rated double bass player on the UK jazz scene, Andy Crowdy brings an incredible sense of drive to the rhythm section, and a lyrical musicality. Lastly, Steve Brown on drums adds rhythm and colour to the ensemble.

Fleur will showcase songs from The Great American Songbook, by composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael. A treat for fans of first class, straight ahead vocal jazz.
